This is a wonderful opportunity, whereby, Master's degree and Elementary students can create articles, research projects and present them to a foreign audience of experts. Through this experience, Khon Kaen has built a reputation on the world stage. It has allowed the youngest researchers to showcase their potential. Their academic presentation was admirable and attracted the attention of many global reporters. Ms. Oratai Santimataneedol, Founder and Director of Mataneedol School, a co-researcher, said, "Arisa Iwai is the president of the Mataneedol School, Student Council. I was inspired by Arisa’s self-initiated learning and her proposed Environmental Management Program, the implementation of a waste management program in schools. The school will have less kitchen waste and we will have a high quality earthworm produced fertilizer for our school gardens. The project is in keeping with the philosophy of our environmentally conscious school, and the active learning of the school. I, and my teachers, agree and support the project to work in our school, and hopefully many other schools in the future. Our staff, Arisa and her peers and also our younger students, will check the fertilizer every day at the school garden. The study will continue with the support of the Faculty of Agriculture. Khon Kaen University. Everyone is very grateful and proud that our student Arisa, a young researcher, has won many research awards. We would like to thank the organizers for opening their door to elementary students. " Grade 5 teacher, Ms. Patraporn Worachin said," Arisa is a smart, resourceful, caring student who decided she wanted to use the composting fertilizer program in school after learning about it from her mother. This way Arisa was able to share the project with her classmates in G5. Students could help to take care of the school environment by rearing the earthworms and using leftover vegetable waste from the school kitchens, providing a nutritious compost used in the school gardens to grow more fresh organic vegetables. All teachers and students are now left with this legacy project that will teach students about the environment and organic methods for many years to come." This project clearly demonstrates the high quality of students in Khon Kaen. Thumbs up to them. This project can benefit all children in Khon Kaen and in the rest of Thailand too.
